Dr. Woody has designed, supervised and published results of original research focused on salmonid behavior, genetics, life history, evolution, and management in the Kvichak and Tustumena watersheds of Alaska since 1991. Dr. Woody has over 25 years of experience including: 13 years as a fisheries research scientist with the US Geological Survey at the Alaska Science Center; 4 years with the Fisheries Research Institute at the University of Washington; 2 years at the National Fishery Research Laboratory in La Crosse, Wisconsin, 4 years as a fish and wildlife biologist for the Forest Service on the Tongass, 2 years as a fisheries and wildlife consultant, and 2 years as an aquaculturist in South America. She earned her PhD in Fisheries Science from the University of Washington, her MS in Biology from the University of Wisconsin and her BS in Wildlife and Fisheries Management from Utah State University. She has published more than 25 scientific papers and a recent book on advances in sockeye salmon research. Dr. Woody is a past- President of the Alaska Chapter of the American Fisheries Society and currently serves on the Environmental Concerns Committee. She is Adjunct faculty at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, and the University of Idaho, Moscow. Dr. Woody recently started her own consulting firm “Fisheries Research and Consulting” in 2007 and is based in Anchorage where she lives with her genius husband Joel, and Kijik, the wonderdog.

Dr. Reynolds has been providing statistical consulting,
collaboration, and scientific review to ecologists, natural resource
managers, and environmental scientists for over 15 years as a private
consultant, university faculty, or agency biometrician. He has
extensive experience in study design and data analysis in settings
ranging from clinical medicine to commercial fisheries, and
environmental pollutants monitoring to seabird monitoring. His
specialties include ecological modeling assessment, statistical
modeling of dependent data, data visualization, and modern data
analysis methods including bootstrapping and other computer intensive
methods. He has published more than 20 scientific papers and book
chapters on biometrics, quantitative ecology, optimization
algorithms, and management applications. He has regularly conducts
professional short courses on statistical design and analysis.

Mr. Koltun is co-founder and Vice President of Geographic Resource Solutions. He has over 23 years of Geographic Information System (GIS) and remote sensing experience in a broad range of applications including forestry, wildfire, resource management, and wildlife management. As a Senior Consultant and Director of GIS Services at GRS he provides systems design, analytical consultation, training, and software development. John has designed and implemented spatial information systems, programmed, and performed analyses using most GIS commercial software and relational databases. John has served on software-design advisory committees for a major remote sensing/GIS vendor and maintains professional relationships with major software vendors. He has designed and taught GIS courses using ESRI, Intergraph, and MapInfo products as well as presented workshops at professional conferences and user groups. As an adjunct professor at University of Alaska Anchorage, he designed and taught a course in spatial database design and serves on the UAA Geomatics Advisory Board.
John is an active member and past regional officer of the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) and is also a member of the Society of American Foresters, California Licensed Foresters Association, and International Association of Wildland Fire. He is a Registered Professional Forester in California, and a Certified Forester.
